Kennon Knight was born dreaming of a life in music & stands thankful now for his dream realized. Influenced by Carolina clay & tobacco farms he was drawn to the musical heartbeat of the south with blues, funk, & folk. He began his career as a drummer playing with formidable bands & performers such as Gypsy, Faculty X, Moses Jones & the Dirty Southern Soul, Square Roots, David Childers, & more. His music has graced many stages up & down the east coast with notable stops at the Blumenthal, the Knight Theater, & The International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. Now a storyteller with some strings influenced by the talents of Tom Petty, Amos Lee, John Prine, Jason Isbell, & more he tells stories that heal hearts with love, laughter, & the knowledge that music unites us all.

    Lochloosa is On my Mind 

    Driving up to the Lochloosa Harbor was a dream realized. As a long time fan of JJ Grey, his songs have inspired within me the drive & resilience required to seek a life in music. Wrapping a gig in Clearwater the night before knowing Lochloosa was on the way home, I stopped by to honor the spirit of JJ's music in this place near & dear to his heart. I was greeted with the utmost kindness at Lochloosa Harbor by Teri. She graciously granted me permission to film an ode to JJ by playing one of his masterpieces, “This River”.
